Sound Design was inspired by my love for the outdoors and skiing! I grew

up skiing, hiking and loving Hatcher Pass, so I decided to design a t-shirt for my dad because he loves to do these things too. I gave a few shirts to my family and friends and it was a huge hit, so I started Sound Design! I started designing t-shirts when I was 10 and have designed a new shirt every year since! Thanks to the support of my close friends and family, Sound Design has evolved into sharing my love of skiing and the outdoors with other people.

Over the past couple of years, I have learned so much about owning a business and all that goes along with it.So many ups and downs learning from the mistakes I have made but I have been continually amazed by the support each and every small business in Alaska receives from our community. You all are the reason each small business is able to continue and grow. Purchasing things from small businesses is supporting families and, in my case, helping me pay for college and pursuing my dream of becoming a Speech Language Pathologist.
